Geeta Paranandi
I founded the Bal Vikas in the year 2003. My intention was to teach children slokas and bhajans; I thought in my mind I will do this even if I have only five kids. The very first day there were more than a dozen kids. The next year there were 30 kids and it increased year after year.
Today we have around 70 kids in different age groups. The program has also grown much bigger with the teaching of Ramayana, Mahabharatha, doing meditation, children coming up and telling interesting stories with moral values. The children have blossomed so beautifully. Along with the children, teachers have also grown. Some of them have learnt to act, some to direct plays, some to sing, etc.
I pray to Baba to keep this momentum growing! Sai Ram. |

For the past few years since I started coming to the Sai Mandir and Balvikas, I have been seeking ways to give back to the community which has provided me with all the comforts of life. About a year ago, I decided to sign up as a teacher for the 11-12 year old Balvikas group and ever since I have experienced an enormous sense of gratification! I consider myself truly blessed! |
